I am a photographer,
& I manage musicians.

In music, I am the founder of Too Nice - a music strategy boutique combining collaborative artist management, global marketing & project direction. Modernly designed to favor artists, the model is untraditionally a la carte & non-exclusive.

The roster includes both management & marketing clients. With management, I represent Cults & Kate Teague. In marketing, I oversee Christine and the Queens in the US on behalf of Because Music - an internationally renowned record label headquartered in Paris. On both sides, I help artists achieve their vision creatively & commercially.

Studying music business, I graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music. I play cello, guitar, bass, a bit of piano & am currently learning synthesis. In the industry, my career spans over 15 years of breaking new artists & working established icons with specializations in artist management & product marketing across all genres. I am a member of The Recording Academy & American Association of Independent Music.

Campaigns include Arcade Fire, Bonobo, Björk, Christine & The Queens, Cults, Foster The People, Justice, Kate Teague, Lake Street Dive, Little Dragon, Mass Gothic, Metronomy, Nile Rodgers, ODESZA, Parcels, Paul McCartney, Peter Bjorn & John, Shygirl, Tegan & Sara, Young Fathers & more.

What I seek out as a documentary photographer is the beauty & story of our day-to-day. I am drawn to nostalgic scenes that I just so happen to encounter & could easily overlook: to stop & admire an ordinary moment elevated by the golden light of California.

With portraiture, I make my subjects feel beautiful with flattering light in my studio. I shoot with both natural & artificial light, primarily using an array of modifiers mostly with off camera flash. My studio is named Nice One, an 800 square foot natural light space located in the Fashion District of DTLA.

Technically, I shoot manually on medium format both on 120 film in 6x7 with a Mamiya RB67 & digitally using a Hasselblad X2D. I scan & edit my negatives, plus develop & print at The Icon.

My work has been published & shared by NPR, Pitchfork, Resident Advisor, dublab, The Washington Post & Patti Smith. In person, I am very actively involved in my local film community of Los Angeles, participating in peer workshops, gallery shows, & photo walks. In book, I contributed my first print to the collection titled Here Is New York. On television, I have licensed images to Jack Daniels for national advertising campaigns. With prints, I donate the entirety of my proceeds to specified charities.
